Positional Release Therapy

Positional Release Therapy was developed by a Doctor in Osteopathy back in the early 1960s, Lawrence Jones D.0. His studies were based on joint dysfunctions and influenced by William G Sutherland’s (D.0.) discoveries of the craniosacral system and the function and movement of the cerebrospinal fluid.

This therapy revolves around somatic dysfunction being that of structural disorder (eg scoliosis, sutural impaction, hip misalignment) or reflex neuromuscular dysfunction (eg migraines, TMJ syndrome, muscle spasms). It is beneficial for a myriad of aliments and is extremely quick and effective.

The treatment involves repositioning joints, eg shoulder, in the direction where there is the least resistance. This brings the contracted muscle into its comfort zone allowing for the muscle and related connective tissue, fascia, to unravel. This in turn releases the tension around the muscle’s pain receptor and the pull on the osseous (bone) structure. As it ties in with the craniosacral therapy approach of subtle unobtrusive pressure, it is a gentle technique that works wonders when blended in with a craniosacral, lymphatic drainage or a remedial massage treatment.

Nasal Cleansing Pot

The Neti Pot (Nasal Cleansing Pot) is an easy technique for health maintenance, and a simple solution to blocked noses, dry sinuses, sneezing, snoring, hay fever, sinus headaches and much more.

The Neti Pot is also useful for nail artists, timber mill workers, factory workers, tilers, builders and gardeners etc, who may suffer nasal symptoms as a result of their work. Just a few minutes a day flushing out the nose is all that is necessary for great relief from everyday living.

What are the benefits of using The Neti Pot? (Nasal Cleansing Pot)

http://www.nose-works.com/bulletpt.gif  It helps those who suffer from asthma & bronchitis as it reduces the tendency to breath through the mouth by freeing the nostrils of excess mucus.

http://www.nose-works.com/bulletpt.gif It washes out dirt, pollen and bacteria from within the nose. In doing so it helps protect the body from upper respiratory problems such as sinus, hay fever, sore throats, allergies, post nasal drip, coughs and colds. Regular cleansing helps the eyes, ears and mind become clearer.

http://www.nose-works.com/bulletpt.gif It’s great for people trying to give up smoking as it reduces the tendency for mouth breathing and re-sensitises the nose to the pollution of ingesting smoke.

http://www.nose-works.com/bulletpt.gif  It helps clear the mind giving you a sense of lightness and clarity which aids better concentration.
